This work was created as a speculative project on behalf of a committee looking to prepare a bid for City of Culture status for Southend-On-Sea. This was created and used by the committee as a creative ‘prop’ and used to indicate to leading businessmen and councillors what might be expected in the run up to a bid launch as well as gain enthusiasm for the project, whilst at the same time, provide an idea of the detail/finance expected to deliver the project.

The project consisted of a web landing page and a business development brochure. There was no formal brief or budget, but the carrot that if the project got off the ground, the opportunity for a full pitch and proposal would then be offered.
